Program Details

Program Description - We offer six professional certifications.

Advanced Hands on Soldering: This course teaches the fundamentals of hand soldering, then builds upon that knowledge to encompass microscopic level soldering. Students will have the ability to solder through-hole and surface mount components down to the 0402/0201 level.

Advanced Cable/Wire Assembly: This course teaches the fundamentals of building cables from scratch, then builds upon that knowledge to encompass terminals, splicing, and crimping. Students will leave with the ability to build and effectively gauge the effectiveness of wiring and wire harness assembly.

IPC-A-610 CIS Certification - Inspection of Completed Printed Circuit Boards: This course teaches the student how to determine what is an acceptable or defect PCB.

IPC/WHMA-A-620: This course teaches the visual, electrical, and mechanical quality acceptability requirements for Cable, Wire, and Harness Assemblies. Students will also learn to identify target, acceptable, process indicator, and defect conditions for class 1, 2, & 3 manufacturing.

IPC-7711/7721 Modification, Rework and Repair of PCB Assemblies: Students learn IPC approved procedures and requirements, tools, materials and methods to be used in modification, rework and repair of Printed Circuit Boards.

J-STD-001 Procedures for Manufacturing Printed Circuit Boards: This course teaches students the internationally recognized standards of manufacturing printed circuit boards.  Includes completion of standardized soldering kit for each module of certification.
